I Love You Always Forever
Donna LewisFeels
I'm in a timeless dream
Of light mists with amber rose
Feels like
I'm lost in a cloud of heavenly scent
Touching, you
Those days of rains
Come back to me
Miles of summer night air
Secret
Shared in the heat of the afternoon
Out of the stillness, soft words
Say, say it again
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
You've got the most blue eyes
I've seen
You've got me almost away
As we lay there a blue sky
With white stars
Exotic , a magical time
Say, say it again
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, never whatever
Near and far and always
And everywhere and everything
Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, never whatever
Near and far and always
And everywhere and everything
Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, never whatever
Near and far and always
And everywhere and everything
Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, never whatever
Near and far and always
And everywhere and everything
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
I love you always forever
The song was inspired by the H. E. Bates romantic novel Love for Lydia, which is set in the 1920s. Lewis explained to Billboard magazine in 1996:
The author wrote it in such a descriptive and beautiful way, set in English countryside, that I wanted to try and create this atmosphere in the song. When I wrote its melody I wanted to write something simple, remembering falling in love for the first time in the summer, that magical wonderful feeling. That was it really, the whole thing just came together.
